Power Distribution

​Two kill switches (show above) were connected to both the 21.6V and 7.2V lines to allow power to be cut from the motors and/or the signal, logic level, and SPI circuits. Two LM2940CT low-drop out power regulators were implemented to supply a continuous 5V supply. To provide the cleanest signal possible, one was utilized for the IR sensing circuitry and the other for the tape sensors, ultrasonic sensor, limit switches, and power to the SPI.
