ME218b: Mechatronics
ME218b is the second quarter of a year-long graduate-level Mechatronics class at Stanford University. In 2011, students were asked to create a fully autonomous basketball-playing robot. We were one of two teams to attempt a dunking strategy. Because of the strict design constraints, our robot ended up resembling the Jawa Ship from Star Wars.
Our team collaborated on each part of the project, but I focused on the software (low level up to the hierarchical state machine), the IR beacon sensing, and the position sensing.
